Description
Strip Steak- Also known as New York Strip steak, Manhattan Steak, or Kansas City steak. This premium lean cut is a steakhouse classic, known for its marbling, tenderness, and flavor. Commonly prepared to a medium rare (135 to 145 degrees F). Recommended cooking methods include grilling, sous vide, stir fried or sautéed, also great seared in a cast iron pan with butter. Pairs well with a nice glass of Cabernet Sauvignon or Bordeaux. Higher tannin red wines pair well with full body steaks. Beer that compliments this steak well have a nutty complex such as Brown ales, American cream ales, dry hopped Saison, stouts or porters.
